This programme prepares learners for the contemporary role of the pharmacist, ensuring that patients and consumers obtain the most effective and appropriate medication usage and operates effectively as a member of a healthcare team. The programme of study comprise of Biological, Chemical, Biomedical, Pharmaceutical, Social, Behavioral, and Administrative Sciences.The didactic delivery of the programme includes lectures, laboratories, and clerkships for pharmacy practice, outreach, research projects and seminars. Emphasis is placed on Problem Solving Learning. Graduates of this programme may gain seamless entry into regional institutions to attain higher degrees. On completion of the programme, and possible internship* graduates will be eligible for registration and licensing as a pharmacist in Grenada and other Eastern Caribbean Countries in areas of community and hospital pharmacy and in the pharmaceutical industry in distribution and marketing.
