This course provides students with an understanding of what is sociology, the individual and society, different theoretical perspectives in sociology, social institutions, social stratification, modernization, dependency and development. Students are required to do a research project on a contemporary issue in Sociology.
Admission Requirement
The completion of at least secondary / high school with at least two CXC/CSEC/GCE subjects. Alternatively, experience in the same or a closely related field.
