This course focuses on phlebotomy as well as the sample collection, reception and pre-analytical processing of clinical laboratory specimens. Major activities will include blood collection by venipuncture and capillary puncture. After learning the techniques by practicing on a simulated arm, students will collect specimens from one another to further develop their skill-set.
Admission Requirement
The completion of at least secondary / high school with at least two CXC/CSEC/GCE subjects. Alternatively, experience in the same or a closely related field.
