In a significant step towards revitalizing the Mirabeau Campus of the T. A. Marryshow Community College, extensive refurbishment work has commenced. This initiative aims to repair damages incurred during Hurricane Ivan, which struck the nation in 2004.
The repair efforts, which are already underway, primarily focus on restoring the student dormitories that were heavily impacted by the hurricane’s fierce winds. In addition to the dormitory repairs, all seven buildings on the Mirabeau Campus will undergo thorough repainting and minor repairs ensuring that all aspects of the infrastructure are in optimal condition for student use.
This extensive refurbishment project is made possible through a collaborative financing effort among the Ministries of Education, Youth, and Mobilisation, Implementation & Transformation. Each ministry has played a vital role in allocating funds and resources necessary for the restoration and enhancement of the campus facilities.
The refurbishment project will greatly benefit current and future students and will expand the campus’ ability to offer new and innovative agricultural programmes and courses. As repairs progress, the college community is looking forward to a revitalized campus that fosters a safe and engaging educational atmosphere and paves the way for new opportunities in Agriculture for young people in Grenada.
