The T. A. Marryshow Community College invites applications from suitably skilled and qualified persons to fill the posts of:
- Maintenance Officer at the Tanteen Campus
- Maintenance Officer at the Mirabeau Campus
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To assist in the implementation of the maintenance plan for the Mirabeau Campus;
- To conduct regular inspections of lighting, electrical systems, air-conditioning, plumbing, drainage and waste-water service and the general infrastructure of the College;
- To carry out repairs and additions to the infrastructure and facilities mentioned above to ensure that they are functioning effectively and efficiently at all times;
- To undertake any other related duty assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
At minimum an Associate Degree, Level III competency-based certificate or relevant training.
Experience and Abilities:
Knowledge of the methods, tools, equipment, materials, and practices used in the construction and maintenance of physical infrastructure.
Knowledge of the potential hazards and adherence to the necessary safety precautions associated with maintenance work.
Ability to perform physical work requiring coordination, agility, strength, and stamina.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to read and interpret maps, diagrams, and equipment operations manuals.
Ability to make basic arithmetical calculations.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as an effective member of a team.
