ABOUT ADMISSIONS

Each year, hundreds of traditional and non-traditional students achieve their personal and professional goals here at the T.A. Marryshow Community College. With over fifty (50) unique programmes across our four (4) distinct campuses, you’re sure to be taken from where you are to where you want to go.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Admission requirements to the College vary according to programme. Associate Degree programmes require that prospective students have 5 GCE/CXC passes including English Language.

Level II certificates programmes require that prospective students have 4 GCE/CXC passes including English Language.

Technical Diploma programmes require that prospective students have 2 GCE/CXC passes or literacy and numeracy capabilities.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Application packages (including certified copies of your CXC/GCE results) should be submitted to the College no later than April 26, 2024 with a NON-REFUNDABLE Application Fee of $50.00. Late Application Fee of $100.00 will apply for Applications received after the deadline.

Tuition and fees vary according to specific College programmes.

INTERNATIONAL/NON-NATIONAL APPLICANTS

General Entry Requirements

Associate Degree
Applicants requiring entry into an Associate Degree programme must attain a minimum of five (5) CSEC passes including English A; Grades I, II or III (from 1998) Grades I & II (pre-1998). Applicants are encouraged to review the College’s programme requirements as each Associate Degree programme has specific subject requirements for admission into a programme.
Level II, Technician Certificate
Applicants requiring entry into a Certificate Programme must attain a minimum of four (4) CSEC passes including English A; Grades I, II or III (from 1998) Grades I & II (pre-1998). Applicants are encouraged to review the College’s programme requirements as each Certificate programme has specific subject requirement for admission into a programme.
Technical Diploma
Applicants requiring entry into the College’s Technical Diploma Programmes must attain a minimum of two (2) CSEC passes, Grades I, II or III (from 1998) Grades I & II (pre-1998). For specific programmes and for other programmes applicants show numeracy and literacy capabilities.
Short-Term Certificate Courses
Applicants requiring entry into our Short-Term Certificate courses must complete secondary/high school with at least 2 CSEC subjects. Alternatively, experience in the same or a closely related field.

Free tuition for all eligible Grenadian nationals.

The free tuition policy applies partially for the following full-time programmes:

EC $275.00 per course, per semester

Non-national students:
Changing a Programme / Alternative Offer
Changing a Programme:
An applicant is permitted to change a programme after the submission of an application. However, this must be communicated to the Admissions team, who will determine if the applicant has the prescribed requirement for the change.
Alternative Offer:
In cases where an applicant is unsuccessful in their application, the Admissions Advisory Committee can provide an alternative programme offer, which is dependent on availability of space, qualifications and potential.
Deferred Applications
If the applicant wishes to gain admission for the following academic year, he/she must reapply for a programme. The College does not have deferral policy. Students who gain admission and drop out within the first semester, either by withdrawal or non-disclosure, must reapply if seeking to gain entry the following academic year.
