This qualification covers workers who perform the specific role of the Medical Laboratory Technician. It includes the basic aspects of medical terminology, laboratory safety, anatomy and Physiology, conducting analytical work in a laboratory, microscopy, laboratory instrumentation, specimen procurement, and molecular diagnostics. These individuals will acquire the basic and some advance knowledge and skills necessary to function as laboratory technicians.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
5 CSEC/GCE subjects including English A. Qualification in certain specific subjects or work experience in the case of client specified programme.
